Google Vacation Rentals and TripAdvisor are search and metasearch channels: they show your property, rates and availability to travelers who have not decided where to book. Optimizing them means accurate listing content and photos, rate parity and availability across channels, and a direct booking link that is competitive with the OTAs.
Interlaken sells mostly through Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and Expedia. Interlaken short-term rentals need two pricing playbooks. Summer stays are short and international, so nightly dynamic pricing with two-night minimums and gap-filling one-night stays works best. Winter in Grindelwald and the car-free villages is about weekly stays for ski parties, with Christmas and February holidays priced at the top. In the shoulders, we lower prices modestly, add flexible cancellation and target hikers and Indian family travellers.
Booking.com and Expedia lead for international summer guests in Interlaken, while Airbnb and Vrbo matter for families and ski chalets. We keep rates aligned, include the Kurtaxe consistently, and highlight Jungfrau railway connections and parking. In shoulder months, Booking.com visibility tools help, but we avoid stacking promotions in July and August.
The full service is described on our other ota optimization page; this page covers how it applies in Interlaken.
