Google Vacation Rentals and TripAdvisor are search and metasearch channels: they show your property, rates and availability to travelers who have not decided where to book. Optimizing them means accurate listing content and photos, rate parity and availability across channels, and a direct booking link that is competitive with the OTAs.
Hamburg sells mostly through Airbnb and Booking.com. Hamburg Airbnb pricing should combine event and cruise logic. We price Hafengeburtstag, Reeperbahn Festival, DOM weeks and major concerts early, and lift rates on busy cruise nights near HafenCity and Altona. Weekend demand from German and Scandinavian travellers is strong, so Friday and Saturday rates should be highest. Hosts with limited nights should spend them on events and summer weekends.
Booking.com leads hotel and short-stay bookings, especially with German and Scandinavian travellers. Airbnb is strong for apartments, while cruise passengers often book close to departure. We keep parity, highlight distance to cruise terminals and the Elbphilharmonie, and use OTA promotions selectively in winter.
The full service is described on our other ota optimization page; this page covers how it applies in Hamburg.
