Google Vacation Rentals and TripAdvisor are search and metasearch channels: they show your property, rates and availability to travelers who have not decided where to book. Optimizing them means accurate listing content and photos, rate parity and availability across channels, and a direct booking link that is competitive with the OTAs.
Málaga sells mostly through Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo. In Malaga city, two to three-night stays dominate, so we use weekend premiums, cruise-day awareness and early Semana Santa and Feria pricing. On the coast, families book by the week, so we set changeovers in July and August. Winter switches to monthly rate cards for Nordic, British and Dutch long-stayers. Sea views, a pool, air conditioning and parking each justify an explicit premium.
Booking.com and Airbnb lead for short stays in the city, while Vrbo matters for family homes on the coast. Many winter long-stayers book directly or return every year, which makes a direct channel valuable. We keep parity, feature sea views and pools, and push monthly offers for winter on the channels long-stayers use.
The full service is described on our other ota optimization page; this page covers how it applies in Málaga.
