Google Vacation Rentals and TripAdvisor are search and metasearch channels: they show your property, rates and availability to travelers who have not decided where to book. Optimizing them means accurate listing content and photos, rate parity and availability across channels, and a direct booking link that is competitive with the OTAs.
Taipei sells mostly through Airbnb, Booking.com and Agoda. For apartment owners without licences, Taipei is a monthly market, and we price around relocation, students and business visitors on extended projects. Monthly rates rise ahead of Computex and autumn, and weekly or bi-weekly discounts help in typhoon season. Licensed homestays and serviced apartments can run nightly pricing, with premiums for MRT access and proximity to Xinyi, Zhongshan or Nangang.
Agoda and Booking.com dominate international bookings, with Trip.com strong for Chinese-speaking travellers and Japanese guests often booking through Expedia or Japanese platforms. Airbnb works for licensed homestays and monthly apartments. We keep parity across channels and use Agoda promotions selectively in summer.
The full service is described on our other ota optimization page; this page covers how it applies in Taipei.
