Google Vacation Rentals and TripAdvisor are search and metasearch channels: they show your property, rates and availability to travelers who have not decided where to book. Optimizing them means accurate listing content and photos, rate parity and availability across channels, and a direct booking link that is competitive with the OTAs.
Vancouver sells mostly through Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo. In Vancouver, legal hosts are mostly renting their own homes or suites, so we focus their available nights on cruise season and summer events and use mid-term pricing for film and tech contracts in winter. In Whistler, properly zoned condos and chalets can price fully dynamically: ski holiday weeks with 5 to 7 night minimums, midweek January offers and a separate summer curve for bikers and families.
Booking.com and Expedia lead hotel and apartment bookings from international visitors and cruise passengers, while Airbnb dominates legal city home stays and Whistler condos. Vrbo matters for family ski trips and larger chalets. We keep parity tight, show licence numbers everywhere and use promotions only in November and early spring.
The full service is described on our other ota optimization page; this page covers how it applies in Vancouver.
