Google Vacation Rentals and TripAdvisor are search and metasearch channels: they show your property, rates and availability to travelers who have not decided where to book. Optimizing them means accurate listing content and photos, rate parity and availability across channels, and a direct booking link that is competitive with the OTAs.
The Alentejo sells mostly through Booking.com, Airbnb and luxury agencies. Short-term rental revenue management on the Alentejo coast is mostly about weeks, not nights. We set Saturday or Sunday changeovers for July and August, block orphan nights that would break a weekly booking, and open shorter stays only inside the final few weeks. Inland, we price Friday and Saturday together with a two-night minimum and push midweek stays with longer-stay discounts. A pool, air conditioning and distance to the sand matter more to rates here than interior finishes.
Booking.com leads for Évora and the wine country, where European couples book city and vineyard trips. Airbnb is strongest for coastal villas and Portuguese families. For the top homes in Comporta and Melides, luxury agencies and concierge villa sites matter, so we keep rates and availability aligned and avoid undercutting agency partners on peak weeks.
The full service is described on our other ota optimization page; this page covers how it applies in The Alentejo.
